Chocolate Chip Cookies
Resch family recipe that has been tweaked over the years. As I grow older I have found I like the ratio of more brown sugar then white sugar in this recipe. Brown sugar has more molasses in it which helps keep the cookies moister.
- 2 sticks butter (1 cup)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup white granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2¼ cups flour
- ¾ cup chocolate chips (mini)
Preheat oven to 350
Cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Once completely combined add eggs and vanilla. Slowly add the flour, salt, baking soda in two or three batches.
Remove from the mixer and add chocolate chips in and gently mix them in.
Scoop cookies out with the desired size scooper. We like larger cookies so I use the 2 Tbsp. scooper from Sur La Table.
Bake 9-11 minutes depending on cookie size and desired doneness.
